Web Order System - Taman Langit Cafe
Taman Langit Cafe, a popular establishment, faced challenges in efficient order processing and sales management. Customers frequently experienced long queues when ordering directly at the cashier, especially during peak hours. This resulted in a suboptimal customer experience and potential loss of sales. Furthermore, cafe management struggled with real-time tracking of sales data and inventory, hindering quick and accurate decision-making regarding menu availability and stock planning.

To address these issues, Taman Langit Cafe partnered with Soulcode to develop a comprehensive web order system. This system was designed to provide a holistic solution that not only enhances operational efficiency but also improves customer satisfaction. The goal was to make the ordering process faster and easier, while also providing the cafe with a more structured and data-driven internal management system.

Challenge

Previously, the ordering process at Taman Langit Cafe was conducted manually through the cashier. This method proved inefficient when customer volume increased, leading to long queues and extended waiting times. This negatively impacted both the customer experience and the cafe's operational efficiency. Additionally, the cafe lacked an integrated system for real-time management of sales and inventory data. Manual record-keeping or disparate systems made it difficult to accurately monitor menu availability and manage inventory, often resulting in stock discrepancies and challenges in planning.

Solution

Soulcode developed a web order system that allows customers to scan a QR code at their table and access a digital menu directly. Customers can view menu details, stock availability, and place orders from their devices. The system is integrated with a Payment Gateway to facilitate secure and efficient payment transactions. On the backend, we built a comprehensive management dashboard using Laravel and MySQL. This dashboard enables cafe staff to manage menus, monitor orders in real-time, control inventory, and view sales reports. With Inertia.js, we ensured a responsive and intuitive user interface for both customers and cafe staff, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Results

The implementation of this web order system significantly reduced customer waiting times and cashier queues, leading to improved customer satisfaction. Customers can now order easily and quickly, even during busy periods. For Taman Langit Cafe management, the system provides real-time sales and inventory data, enabling faster and more accurate decision-making. Operational efficiency has increased, and inventory management has become more structured, contributing to improved profitability and a better overall customer experience.
