This collaboration involves the Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto as the academic partner and CV Sinar Pangan Mandiri as the industry partner. The primary focus of the project is the development of a digital solution to address logistics challenges in poultry distribution.
Soulcode played a role in designing and building a mobile application that enables live tracking of poultry shipments. Additionally, we were responsible for the necessary API integration and the development of a backend management system to support the overall application operations.
The main objective of this project is to bridge innovations generated by higher education institutions with the real operational logistics needs in the industrial sector, particularly within the poultry distribution supply chain.
Challenge
The poultry distribution sector often faces challenges in logistics visibility and efficiency. Manual or unintegrated tracking processes can lead to delays, delivery errors, and difficulties in monitoring product conditions during transit. This impacts product quality and customer satisfaction. The need for a system capable of providing real-time tracking information is crucial to enhance transparency and accountability throughout the entire distribution chain. Without an integrated system, operational decision-making becomes suboptimal, and responses to field issues are slow.
Solution
Soulcode developed an intuitive and functional mobile application for real-time poultry shipment tracking. This application is designed for use by drivers and relevant parties in the distribution chain, allowing them to accurately update shipment status and location. In addition to the mobile application, we also implemented robust API integrations to connect the application with existing or newly developed management systems. This integration ensures a smooth and consistent flow of data between various system components, including order data, routes, and delivery status. We also built a comprehensive backend management system. This system serves as a control center to monitor all shipping activities, manage user data, and generate relevant analytical reports. With this solution, CV Sinar Pangan Mandiri can have full visibility into their distribution operations.
Results
The implementation of the Digilivery Kedaireka system has resulted in significant improvements in the efficiency and transparency of poultry distribution operations. Real-time tracking allows for better monitoring of each shipment, reducing the risk of product loss or damage. With this application, response times to logistics issues can be accelerated, and decision-making becomes more data-driven. This not only enhances customer satisfaction through more timely and accurate deliveries but also optimizes resource utilization and reduces operational costs for CV Sinar Pangan Mandiri.
